Together we are strong! True to this motto, seven innkeepers in Eugendorf joined forces more than 25 years ago and founded GenussWirte Eugendorf. Today, the GenussWirte are known far beyond Eugendorf’s municipal boundaries for enjoyment, regionality and quality – as well as for their warm host families.

The Wirtshaus is a real cultural asset in SalzburgerLand. From cozy get-togethers and enjoyment to regulars’ tables and club meetings to morning pints, family celebrations, weddings and christenings: The inn is an important meeting place in the community. The Flachgau municipality of Eugendorf is very proud of its diverse and lively pub culture – and its enjoyable initiatives. The local innkeepers realized more than 25 years ago that they could achieve more together. This is why the “GenussWirte Eugendorf” was founded in 1997 by seven host families.

The hallmarks of the GenussWirte, which are united by decades of friendship between the host families, are their philosophy of quality, their high-quality and varied cuisine with regional and seasonal products and their hospitality. Regionality that is lived!

Regionality and seasonality are a way of life at the GenussWirten Eugendorf – in some kitchens, such as the Landgasthof Holznerwirt or the Gasthof Gastagwirt, even produce from their own farm is refined into delicious dishes.

One hood and many hearts

Thanks to Eugendorf’s excellent restaurant culture, the Flachgau municipality has already been awarded a toque by the restaurant guide Gault & Millau Austria. Head chef Michael Oberreiter from the Hotel.Restaurant Am Hochfuchs was awarded 12.5 points and is proud to hold a toque. The GenussWirte chefs also cook their way into the hearts of their guests outside of the restaurant guides. They prove their creativity time and time again, using regional and seasonal ingredients to create unique moments of pleasure that are different in every restaurant and on every menu and reflect the diversity of the culinary arts.
