Untersberg cable car

Treat yourself to a very special experience! A ride on the Untersberg cable car – high up to the Geiereck mountain station (1,776 m) – virtually on top of Salzburg’s legendary local mountain. The modern cable car system has been transporting hikers and nature lovers in spacious gondolas from Grödig since 1961.

The panoramic view of the city, the bizarre peaks of the Alps and the neighbouring Berchtesgadener Land is truly breathtaking – on a clear day you can even see Lake Chiemsee! The mountain restaurant’s delicacies and deckchair hire complete the experience.

Take a trip to high alpine terrain! Easily and quickly accessible by cable car. It’s worth it: the city of Salzburg, the Dachstein and the glaciers of the Hohe Tauern are at your feet.
